Israeli airstrikes across Gaza killed at least four people and injured dozens despite an existing ceasefire, Gaza health officials report. Attacks struck displaced-person tent camps and residential areas in Khan Younis, Bureij, Gaza City and Shati camp, leaving families homeless and causing civilian casualties, including children. Ceasefire talks in Cairo have stalled over withdrawal and disarmament demands, while daily humanitarian deliveries remain constrained.

At least four people were killed and dozens more injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, Gaza health authorities and reporters said, in what local officials described as a breach of a ceasefire agreement.

Gaza's Ministry of Health said hospitals across the territory received six bodies and 34 wounded people during the previous 24 hours. That tally included four newly reported deaths, one person who died of earlier injuries and one body that was recovered.

Health officials told Reuters that an airstrike in the southern city of Khan Younis killed a man and an eight-year-old child. The strike hit a tent encampment sheltering people displaced by the ongoing siege; more than 1.2 million people have lost their homes, roughly 60 percent of Gaza's population.

In a separate incident in the central Bureij refugee camp, an 18-month-old child was killed when a strike struck a house, and eight others were injured. Elsewhere in Gaza City, a man riding a bicycle was killed in a strike that also wounded 10 people.

'We are talking about a building that was targeted. This building was surrounded by two makeshift tent camps and these tents are now all damaged and the people who were sheltering inside these tents are homeless. We're talking about 35 families that were terrified when these massive explosions took place yesterday,' Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudary reported from Gaza City.

The strikes came as Hamas delegates held talks in Cairo with mediators from Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye to discuss implementation of the second phase of a ceasefire that took effect almost 10 months ago. Sources say negotiations have stalled largely over Israel's withdrawal and cessation of attacks, and Hamas's refusal to disarm under current terms.

Reports indicate Hamas seeks changes to protect the rights of Palestinian government employees and has proposed that any weapons oversight be placed with a Palestinian body rather than handed to Israel. Reuters reported a Hamas official saying the group would deliver a 'positive and good' response, without offering further detail.

Observers and the report cited say that the ceasefire agreement from October 2025 calls for 600 aid trucks to enter Gaza daily, but Israeli authorities continue to restrict the volume of humanitarian supplies entering the territory.

According to figures cited in the report, since October 7, 2023, at least 73,341 Palestinians have been killed and 174,086 wounded. These figures come from the sources used in the original reporting and have not been independently verified in this piece.
