The FDA announced a voluntary recall on July 19 of Zen Principle® Moringa Capsules after supplier-provided moringa leaf powder tested positive for Salmonella. The recall affects 180-count bottles from lot A6FF4 (exp. Nov. 2028) sold online between December 2025 and July 2026. Consumers should stop using and dispose of the product and may request a full refund by contacting the company. No illnesses have been reported so far; seek medical attention if you experience symptoms.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a voluntary recall of Zen Principle® brand Moringa Capsules after testing indicated a potential risk of Salmonella contamination linked to an ingredient supplier.

Recall Details

Relay Peak Research LLC (doing business as Zen Principle Naturals), based in Incline Village, Nevada, initiated the recall on July 19. The action affects a single lot of finished product: 180-count bottles of Zen Principle Moringa Capsules, lot number A6FF4, with an expiration date printed on the bottom of the bottle as November 2028.

Where It Was Sold

The impacted lot was distributed widely through online retailers, including Amazon, eBay and Etsy, between December 2025 and July 2026. The product was sold as a single 180-capsule bottle (Amazon FNSKU X000ZJJ4FT) and as a 2-pack of 360 capsules (Amazon FNSKU X00159YJXP).

Why It Was Recalled

The recall was initiated after the ingredient supplier informed the company that FDA testing of the moringa leaf powder used to manufacture the product returned positive for Salmonella. According to the FDA, that contaminated raw material was used only to produce this single lot of finished product. Zen Principle has ceased sale and distribution of the affected lot and is cooperating with the FDA.

Health Risks And Consumer Advice

Salmonella can cause serious illness. Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. People in vulnerable groups—young children, the elderly, frail individuals and those with weakened immune systems—are at increased risk for severe disease. In rare cases Salmonella can spread to the bloodstream and cause life‑threatening conditions such as infected aneurysms, endocarditis and arthritis.

To consumers: Stop using the recalled product immediately and dispose of it. If you develop symptoms after taking the supplement, contact your healthcare provider promptly—especially if you are in a high‑risk group.

Refunds And Contact Information

To request a full refund or for return instructions, customers can call Zen Principle at 775-451-6171 (9 a.m.–5 p.m. PT) or email [email protected]. The FDA reports there have been no illnesses linked to consumption of these capsules to date.
