Key points: A Ukrainian drone strike in Krasnodar killed one and wounded three and ignited a fire at a Black Sea export terminal in Volna. Ukraine also reported strikes on an oil facility in Volgograd and on sites in occupied Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. President Zelenskyy said FP-5 missiles hit a military supplier in Cheboksary, more than 900 km from the front line. The conflict remains largely static, with both sides increasingly using long-range strikes and drones.
Ukrainian Drone Strike Kills One in Southern Russia, Sparks Fire at Black Sea Terminal

A Ukrainian drone strike on Saturday killed one person and wounded three in Russia’s southern Krasnodar region, local officials said. Debris from the drone ignited a blaze at a Black Sea export terminal in the village of Volna, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said.
Russian outlets reported the damaged terminal handles crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas. Kondratyev provided no further operational details.
Ukraine’s General Staff did not comment on the Krasnodar incident but said its forces struck an oil preparation and pumping station overnight in Russia’s Volgograd region and targeted sites in Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine’s Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently said Ukrainian forces had struck several military and energy infrastructure targets deep inside Russia, including a factory in Cheboksary that he said supplied components for Russian drones and missiles. Zelenskyy said FP-5 Flamingo long-range missiles hit that facility, more than 900 kilometers (about 560 miles) from the front line.
More than four years after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the roughly 1,000-kilometer (620-mile) front line has remained largely static. Both sides increasingly rely on long-range strikes as swarms of drones complicate conventional ground advances.
Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged to strengthen air defenses after Ukrainian strikes set an oil terminal in St. Petersburg ablaze and damaged a nearby naval base — incidents that clouded a major economic forum in his hometown.
Separately, regional authorities said Russian attacks in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region injured nine people and set a local marketplace on fire. Regional head Oleksandr Hanzha wrote on Telegram that Russian forces struck three districts more than 20 times with drones and aerial bombs; six people were hospitalized, including one man in critical condition.
