Suspected Car-Ramming at Efrat Junction; One Israeli Lightly Wounded After Road Blockade

A suspected car-ramming incident occurred at the Efrat Junction in the West Bank on Saturday night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. The military later reported that the incident followed a road blockade by dozens of Israeli Jewish rioters who targeted Palestinian vehicles in the area.
What Happened
According to the IDF, dozens of Israeli Jewish rioters blocked local roads, forcing Palestinian drivers to turn back and pelting some vehicles with stones. Army Radio reported that, in some cases, rioters also conducted unauthorized checks of Palestinians' cars.
As Palestinian drivers attempted to flee the scene, one of the rioters was struck by a vehicle. The individual sustained light injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Security Response and Investigation
Army Radio cited witnesses who said some security personnel present at the time made no effort to stop the rioters and were seen speaking with them without making arrests. The IDF said the suspect in the car-ramming incident was apprehended shortly afterward and taken in for questioning as the incident is investigated.
