Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson have postponed their wedding until the conflict involving Iran subsides, insiders told the Daily Mail. The couple may still hold a small, family-only ceremony at the White House when timing permits. They became engaged at Camp David last December and recently held a wedding shower at Mar-a-Lago. Discussions have included the possibility of a future White House ballroom wedding, a project not expected to be completed until late 2028 or early 2029.

Donald Trump Jr. and socialite Bettina Anderson have told friends they will delay their wedding plans until the ongoing conflict involving Iran eases, according to insiders who spoke with the Daily Mail.

Sources say the couple believes it would be inappropriate to hold a large celebration while violence continues in the Middle East. There is currently a ceasefire, but no formal peace agreement; media reports place U.S. service-member casualties and Iranian civilian and military losses in the hundreds and thousands, respectively.

“They will have a celebration at the due time, at the White House,” an inner-circle source told the publication. “But you know they’re waiting for the right moment because of what’s happening in the world. They want to wait until that settles.”

The same source said the pair may opt for a very small, family-only ceremony at the White House when the timing is right:

“They may have a very, very intimate celebration at the White House, just family members. But still, when it’s appropriate — and at the moment it’s not appropriate.”

The couple became engaged at Camp David last December. Two weeks ago they held Anderson’s wedding shower at Mar-a-Lago, an Enchanted Garden–themed luncheon in a ballroom inside the club’s main mansion; neither Donald Trump nor Melania Trump attended.

People magazine reported that the couple has discussed the possibility of a White House wedding, specifically using a planned ballroom that has not yet been built. That proposed addition to the grounds is projected to be completed in late 2028 or early 2029.

A source suggested a high-profile White House ceremony could be beneficial politically:

“This [a White House wedding] would set them up for future political roles, whether Don Jr. seeks higher office or other opportunities,”
the source said.

The White House and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Background: Trump Jr., 47, is the president’s eldest son and has five children with his first wife, Vanessa Trump; the couple divorced in 2018 after 13 years of marriage. Vanessa Trump has been reported in tabloid coverage as dating golfer Tiger Woods. Trump Jr. was previously linked to Kimberly Guilfoyle; reports previously connected Guilfoyle to Newsom as a former spouse, but she has not served as an ambassador to Greece.

Trump Jr. and Anderson were first seen together publicly at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
