President Donald Trump spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day alternating between a festive moment at Mar-a-Lago and a late-night flurry of more than 100 posts and reposts on Truth Social. He amplified calls to prosecute Barack Obama, repeated claims that the 2020 election was stolen, and attacked figures such as Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Trump also promoted economic and foreign-policy talking points, referenced a law releasing Jeffrey Epstein records and highlighted diplomatic deals that some outside observers dispute.

President Donald Trump spent Christmas Eve in a festive mood at his Mar-a-Lago residence — speaking with children about Santa Claus while NORAD tracked the sleigh — before a late-night turn toward partisan messaging.

Shortly after midnight, Trump posted and reposted more than 100 items on his Truth Social platform, amplifying content that attacked political opponents, repeated claims about the 2020 election and promoted his administration's narrative on the economy and foreign policy.

Late-Night Posts and Targets

Among the posts he boosted were calls for Attorney General Pam Bondi to pursue charges against former President Barack Obama. He also circulated a video from Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore, who claimed the 2020 election was stolen and suggested that many people should be arrested and tried for treason. Independent reviews and court decisions have not produced evidence of widespread fraud that would have changed the result of the 2020 election.

"Nice, right? Could do this all day long," Trump told reporters on Christmas Eve after taking a call about Santa.

Political Attacks and Policy Messages

With more than 11 million followers on Truth Social, Trump amplified familiar political targets. He shared posts attacking California Gov. Gavin Newsom, circulated an unproven allegation about former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's finances, and promoted a video that questioned the U.S. citizenship of Rep. Ilhan Omar, urging, in one repost, “Throw her out of the U.S., Now!” The article cited that these allegations were shared without substantiating evidence.

He also reposted commentary praising his economic record — including a Fox News clip crediting his policies for a rapid 4.3% GDP gain in the third quarter — and posted a video from Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighting several diplomatic deals the administration says it brokered. Trump has used those deals to argue he merits consideration for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2026; some of Rubio’s claims, such as averting war between India and Pakistan, have been disputed by other governments.

Other Notable Posts

Trump referenced a law he signed requiring the Justice Department to release records related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, writing, "Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein." He also reposted material calling for dismantling the Affordable Care Act and attacked Somali immigrants in several posts.

The article noted a humanitarian detail connected to one of the foreign-policy claims: more than two weeks of clashes along the Cambodia–Thailand border had resulted in 86 deaths, underscoring that some peace claims remain contested or incomplete.

The White House did not respond to requests clarifying whether Trump personally made the reposts or whether aides managed his account. For Trump, blending seasonal greetings with partisan grievance has become a recurring pattern during holidays.
