Alleged gang hit man captured after yearslong manhunt for 3 separate murders in Philadelphia: 'The very worst'

A 25-year-old, Tyvine Jones, was arrested in Delaware County after a multiagency manhunt connecting him to three Philadelphia shootings between 2020 and 2022. Authorities say the victims — ages 16, 20 and 23 — died of gunshot wounds. Jones, alleged to be a hit man for the "Blumberg" gang, was located after an anonymous tip and taken into custody without incident. Investigations are ongoing.

A 25-year-old man accused of acting as a hit man for a Philadelphia gang was arrested Wednesday after a yearslong manhunt tying him to three separate homicides, federal authorities said.

Tyvine Jones was taken into custody at an apartment complex in Delaware County following a multiagency operation led by the U.S. Marshals Service, the agency said. He is wanted in connection with three killings that occurred across Philadelphia between 2020 and 2022.

U.S. Marshals took Tyvine Jones into custody in connection with three separate murders on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025.
"Tyvine Jones was one of Philadelphia’s ‘Most Wanted’ for his role in the murder of three individuals between 2020 and 2022," said Eric Gartner, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Authorities allege Jones — identified as a member and hit man for a group called the "Blumberg" gang — is linked to shootings in August 2020, May 2022 and September 2022. The victims were 16, 20 and 23 years old; officials said each died of gunshot wounds but released no further details about the specific circumstances of the crimes.

Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark described Jones as "the very worst society has to offer," warning that he should be considered armed and highly dangerous. Investigators said a task force located Jones after receiving an anonymous tip that led them to the Stratford Court Apartments.

"Together with our Philadelphia PD and other partners, our commitment to the citizens of Philadelphia remains steadfast: the relentless pursuit of violent fugitives such as Tyvine Jones," Gartner added.

Officials continue to investigate and have not released additional details about the evidence or potential charges. Local authorities asked anyone with further information about the case to contact the Philadelphia Police Department or the U.S. Marshals Service tip line.
