An American passenger, Ann Evans, 55, has been reported missing after she failed to return to the Holland America Line ship Rotterdam while it was docked in Port St. Martin on Nov. 20. Evans left the vessel to join an organized island tour and disembarked a tour bus in Marigot on the French side of Saint Martin but did not reboard the bus or return to the ship.

Local authorities say search efforts are ongoing. The Police Force of St. Martin (KPSM) identified Evans and confirmed that law enforcement on both the Dutch and French sides of the island, including the French Gendarmerie, have been notified and are assisting in the investigation.

Officials have not disclosed whether Evans was traveling with companions. Investigators are asking anyone who saw her in Marigot on Nov. 20, or who may have relevant information — such as photos, messages, or sightings — to contact local police immediately.

According to the cruise line's website, Rotterdam is the newest ship in the Holland America Line fleet and can accommodate about 2,600 passengers at double occupancy, or up to 4,173 guests when fully booked.

How to help: If you have information about Ann Evans' whereabouts, please contact the Police Force of St. Martin (KPSM) or the French Gendarmerie. Any detail, no matter how small, could be important to the ongoing search.
