Missing child: Ten-year-old Gabrielle Patricia Terrelonge was last seen on the evening of June 30 after stepping off a Greyhound bus with her mother, Passha Bianca Davis, 34, at the Florida Mall in Orlando. Authorities and family members are urgently seeking information about her whereabouts.

How the case came to light: Gabrielle’s disappearance became public after her father, Gordon Terrelonge, reported her missing on Oct. 29 following news that Davis had been arrested in Margate on Oct. 17. The FBI has issued a missing-child alert, and Broward County Crime Stoppers increased its reward for information up to $10,000.

Investigation and recent arrests

On Oct. 17, Margate police stopped Davis on suspicion of shoplifting. Body-camera footage from that encounter shows Davis refusing to identify herself; she was arrested and later charged with unlawfully using a false name and resisting arrest, according to court records. Investigators say Davis did not tell officers during that stop that her daughter was missing.

In a jailhouse interview on Oct. 31, investigators say Davis told them Gabrielle was with her father. However, Gabrielle’s father told investigators he had not seen his daughter since May. Davis was initially released on a $200 bond but was subsequently arrested again on Nov. 4 and charged with child neglect without great bodily harm. She remains held in the Broward County jail on a $100,000 bond and was ordered on Nov. 19 to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Family plea and public appeal

"I beg, I'm begging from the bottom of my heart. I just want to find my daughter. I want her to come home," Gordon Terrelonge said at a press conference on Nov. 19, calling the public for help.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or to the FBI. Any piece of information — no matter how small — could be important to investigators working to locate Gabrielle.
