The CPSC has recalled about 4,477,655 metal‑bristle grill brushes sold at Walmart (Recall No. 27‑010) after discovering bristles can detach and become an ingestion hazard. The recall covers multiple Expert Grill models sold from January 2021 through August 2026, priced $1–$28. Consumers should stop using the brushes immediately and either discard them or return them to Walmart for a refund or store credit; no injuries have been reported. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a large recall of metal‑bristle grill brushes sold at Walmart after finding that individual bristles can detach, stick to grills or food, and pose an ingestion hazard that in rare cases could require surgery.

Recall details: The CPSC identified the recall as No. 27-010 and says approximately 4,477,655 brushes are affected. The recall was announced on Thursday, Oct. 1. No injuries have been reported to date.

Affected products: The recalled items were sold under the Expert Grill brand in various styles with either black plastic or stainless‑steel handles; some versions include a metal scraper. They were sold at Walmart stores and on Walmart.com from January 2021 through August 2026, with prices ranging from $1 to $28. Affected models include:
