The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office told media it responded to a residence in Raceland after a call at 6:15 p.m. and discovered Urker unresponsive. In a statement shared with TMZ, the office said:
"We responded to a residence in Raceland today after receiving a call at 6:15 p.m. Kenan Urker, 34, was found dead upon arrival. At this time, we are continuing the death investigation."
Family sources cited by TMZ say Urker was found on his birthday. Authorities have not publicly released additional details about the cause or circumstances of death.

Urker and Gypsy Rose Blanchard first connected while she was serving time following the 2015 killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. The couple became engaged in October 2018, later called off the engagement, reconciled in August 2019, and then split again. They reunited in April 2024; their daughter, Aurora, was born in December 2024.
When the pair reconnected after Blanchard's release, Urker told People magazine he had visited her and the visits went well. He said their relationship quickly progressed: "Then shortly after that, we realized we were going to have a baby."
