Arrest in Ljubljana
The U.S. Marshals Service announced that 23-year-old Seth Walls was taken into custody in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on Sept. 12. Walls had fled the United States after posting a $10,000 bond in 2022 and failing to appear for a scheduled court date in the case stemming from the Sept. 11, 2022, death of Haley Reedy in Millington, Tennessee.
How He Was Found
According to local reports, a resident in Ljubljana recognized Walls after learning about Reedy's death and alerted staff at a bar where Walls had been seen. Security personnel contacted local authorities, who arrested him. Walls reportedly used an assumed name and told officers he was from Canada, but his true identity was confirmed through fingerprints provided by Interpol. The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force had requested Interpol's assistance in 2023 after Walls left the country.

Charges and Investigation
Walls faces charges of second-degree murder and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon in connection with the shooting that killed Reedy. At the time of the incident, Walls — then 18 — told investigators that Reedy fired the gun and that he was not in the room when the shot was fired. The Shelby County Medical Examiner determined that the fatal wound, a gunshot behind the right ear, was inconsistent with a self-inflicted injury and ruled the death a homicide.

Reedy's mother, Brandee Jones, told reporters she felt both "very shocked and relieved" by the arrest, saying, "I don't have to worry about him harming anyone else."
