Fox News host Jesse Watters downplayed Senator Jon Ossoff's remark that President Trump would "rather travel with Natalie" than perform presidential duties, saying Trump "has said so much worse." Ossoff's comment referenced a recent change of aircraft after Trump left Turkey, when aide Natalie Harp reportedly accompanied him. The exchange prompted sharp responses from conservatives, including White House communications staff and commentators. Harp is widely described in reporting as a close and loyal aide to the president.
Jesse Watters: Trump 'Has Said Much More Sleazy Things' Than Ossoff's Remark About Aide

Fox News host Jesse Watters dismissed a jab by Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff about President Donald Trump's aide, saying on The Five that Trump "has said so much worse" and that he was not particularly bothered by the comment.
Watters Responds
On Tuesday night's episode of The Five, Watters addressed comments Ossoff made at a weekend rally suggesting the president would rather "travel with Natalie" than perform the duties of the presidency. Watters said the suggestion that Trump surrounds himself with attractive women "is something he's done his whole life" and argued the president would not be upset by the remark.
"Am I fazed by this comment? No," Watters said. "Has Trump said so much worse? So much more sleazy things against other people? Yes. Have I defended those things? Absolutely."
Ossoff's Original Comment And Context
At a Georgia rally, Ossoff quipped that Trump preferred travel with Natalie Harp to "do the job" of president. He referenced a recent incident in which Trump reportedly switched from Air Force One to a military plane after leaving Turkey amid concerns about a potential Iranian threat; Harp, a 35-year-old executive assistant, was reported to be among the small group of aides who traveled with him on that aircraft.
Reactions From Conservatives
The remark drew strong responses from some conservative figures. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung attacked Ossoff on X, using harsh language to denounce the senator's comments. CNN conservative commentator Scott Jennings also criticized Ossoff, writing that "Donald Trump has done more to elevate women in politics than any other President" and calling Ossoff "a despicable coward" for smearing Harp, whom Jennings described as a loyal public servant and cancer survivor.
About Natalie Harp
Harp has been described in several reports as a near-constant presence at Trump's side and one of his most loyal aides. Media accounts say she has left him affectionate notes; an estranged brother has publicly described her relationship with the president as "very unhealthy." New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman has referred to Harp as Trump's "binkie" and "comfort blanket."
A White House spokesperson previously told The Independent: "Natalie Harp is a beloved White House official, and the fake news media will never understand what it's like to be as trusted and admired as her."
