A Yemeni government official told dpa that intensive artillery and drone strikes by government forces have left dozens of Houthi fighters killed or wounded across multiple fronts. Reported strikes hit positions and reinforcements near Al-Fakher market in Dhale and along front lines in Marib and Al-Jawf, while Taiz-based drones reportedly struck Houthi defensive equipment. Officials also said the Houthis continued attacks on Mocha port; the Houthi movement has not responded and the claims remain unverified.

A Yemeni government official said on Wednesday that artillery and drone strikes by government forces wounded or killed dozens of Houthi fighters across multiple battlefronts, targeting positions, reinforcements and military equipment.

Reported Strikes And Locations

Fayyad al-Numan, Yemen's deputy information minister, told dpa that government troops carried out 'intensive artillery and drone strikes' on Houthi positions on several fronts.

He said strikes struck reinforcements and positions near Al-Fakher market, west of Qatabah district in Dhale province, killing and wounding a number of fighters. Drones operated by the Taiz military command were also reported to have targeted military equipment deployed along Houthi defensive lines in Dhale.

Al-Numan said government artillery and drones launched extensive attacks in Marib and Al-Jawf provinces along the front lines with the Houthis, which he said killed dozens of fighters. He also reported artillery strikes on Houthi gatherings and reinforcements along the western coast that resulted in additional casualties.

Mocha Port And Verification

Al-Numan said the Houthis continued to target the port of Mocha in Taiz province with ballistic missiles and drones, describing those attacks as attempts to disrupt economic activity at the strategically important civilian port.

'We carried out intensive artillery and drone strikes on Houthi positions on several battlefronts,' al-Numan said, according to dpa.

No immediate comment or confirmation of the government's claims, including casualty figures, was available from the Houthi movement. The reported casualties and damage have not been independently verified.
