President Donald Trump flew to Los Angeles and Las Vegas on a three-day West Coast trip, accompanied by longtime aide Natalie Harp, who was photographed boarding Marine One with a red backpack. A former One America News anchor now listed as executive assistant, Harp has been nicknamed the "human printer" for tasks such as printing articles and drafting social posts. Publicized letters she wrote to Trump, including the line "You are all that matters to me," prompted scrutiny and, according to biographer Michael Wolff, reported concern from the Secret Service. Her estranged brother says their homeschooled upbringing and belief in American exceptionalism may help explain her intense loyalty.

President Donald Trump departed Tuesday for a three-day West Coast trip, traveling first to Los Angeles and then to Las Vegas. Photographers captured longtime aide Natalie Harp boarding Marine One near the White House with a red backpack slung over her shoulder as she accompanied the 80-year-old president.

Trump’s Southern California stop was notable because he rarely appears there in person. On Tuesday he attended a Republican National Committee fundraiser at his Rancho Palos Verdes golf club; on Wednesday he is scheduled to speak about workers' tax relief at the Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa in Nevada.

Natalie Harp: Role and Background

Harp is a former anchor and host for One America News who now serves as an executive assistant to the president. Her responsibilities have often extended beyond a conventional assistant role — during Trump’s last campaign she earned the nickname the "human printer" for tasks such as running internet searches for him, picking up merchandise, drafting ideas for Truth Social posts, and printing news articles so he could read physical copies.

Letters, Concerns and Reactions

Attention around Harp intensified after journalists Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan published letters she had written to Trump, including the line, "You are all that matters to me." The letters and her visible proximity to the president have prompted discussion inside and outside his circle.

Michael Wolff — author and biographer — discussed the matter on the Inside Trump's Head podcast, calling Harp's story "a piece of work" and saying it caused a "major kerfuffle," including reports that the Secret Service expressed concern that some viewed her as a potential risk to herself and to the president.

Harp’s estranged brother, Preston, offered a different perspective, attributing her intense loyalty in part to their upbringing: being homeschooled and raised with strong beliefs in American exceptionalism, a detail reported by The Daily Beast.

Reporting note: The original account was reported by Devanshi Basu for Mandatory and further coverage has been provided by Maggie Haberman, Jonathan Swan, Michael Wolff, and The Daily Beast.

What remains clear: Harp continues to travel with the president and remains a high-profile aide whose relationship with Trump has drawn both curiosity and concern from journalists and associates alike.
