X's Community Notes corrected Andrew Tate's claim that crowds of supporters were gathered outside the Federal Detention Center in Miami, stating only one person with a sign was present. The note linked to footage and an interview with the lone supporter. The Tate brothers remain detained and face extradition requests from U.K. prosecutors on multiple serious allegations. From custody, Andrew Tate has continued posting complaints about conditions in the Special Housing Unit.

Andrew Tate's claim that he could hear crowds of supporters outside the Federal Detention Center in Miami was publicly challenged by X's Community Notes, which said there was only one person present with a sign.

In a post shared on Monday (July 27), Tate wrote:

"For the people holding signs outside the jail. It's very high up here and the smaller signs are hard to read. But, I can feel every word. Thank you."

That message was annotated almost immediately by a Community Note — X's crowd-sourced context feature — which stated: "There was only one person outside the jail today with a sign." The note linked to a tweet by self-described "truth seeker" Tyson Hockley, who filmed and interviewed the lone supporter holding a placard that read "TATES ARE INNOCENT." In the short clip the supporter says,

"They've been here for us, now we can be there for them."

Legal Status And Allegations

Andrew and Tristan Tate remain detained at the Federal Detention Center in Miami following their arrest earlier this month by U.S. Marshals. The U.K. Crown Prosecution Service has said it is seeking the brothers' extradition to face multiple allegations, including seven counts of rape, three counts of sex trafficking, three counts of assault with bodily harm, and 19 charges related to child and extreme pornography. These claims are allegations and the men have not been convicted; they also face a separate set of 21 charges filed in May 2025.

Posts From Custody

While in custody, Andrew Tate has continued to post on X (formerly Twitter), complaining about conditions in the Special Housing Unit (SHU). In one message he wrote:

"My water faucet is broken. I am not allowed bottles of water in SHU. I have nothing clean to drink. My only water comes from the shower, warm and from a brown and filthy faucet. It has given me persistent stomach problems. The water I am drinking is not clean; I am an American. Innocent until proven guilty. But I am forced to drink poisoned water. Where are my rights?"

Why This Matters

The exchange highlights how X's Community Notes are being used to add context and correct posts by high-profile accounts, and it underscores the intense public interest in the Tate case as legal and extradition proceedings move forward.
