Social media posts claiming Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke left India for the United States after nationwide protests are false. The short clip widely shared online was filmed weeks earlier at Jaipur Airport during a mid‑June visit, not after the demonstrations ended on July 25, 2026.

What The Clip Shows
The 26‑second video circulating on X, Facebook, Instagram and Threads shows Dipke among a small group of people at an airport. A reverse‑image search and keyframe checks found the same clip posted on Facebook on June 15, with a caption saying Dipke had arrived in Jaipur for a protest.

Verification And Reporting
Independent checks linked the footage to Jaipur Airport: NDTV Rajasthan published a photo of Dipke in the same clothes, and AFP matched visible features in the video to Google Maps images of Jaipur Airport. These corroborating pieces of evidence show the clip predates the July protests in New Delhi.
Key quote: Dipke told news agency ANI on July 26, "We will announce the future strategy soon. It only just ended yesterday; please give us a little time."
Context: The CJP Protests
The Cockroach Janta Party — a satirical movement founded online in May by Dipke, a 30‑year‑old public relations graduate from Boston University — mobilised large youth‑led demonstrations across India after allegations of leaked exam papers and other irregularities. Dipke returned from the United States on June 6 to seek permission for peaceful protests. On July 25, following widespread demonstrations, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned and authorities accepted several CJP demands; the protests were called off.
Aftermath And Claims
After the protests ended, some social posts accused Dipke of "running away" by allegedly flying to the US. AFP found no credible evidence supporting that claim. ANI reported on July 29 that Dipke visited his home in western Maharashtra, and there are no reliable reports of him leaving India following the demonstrations.
Bottom Line
The widely shared airport clip was recorded in mid‑June at Jaipur Airport and not after the July 25 protests; claims that Dipke left India for the United States in the immediate aftermath are misleading and unsupported by available evidence.
