At least 16 people were killed in overnight attacks across Ukraine and Russia, including 10 in ballistic missile strikes just outside Kyiv. Around 100 people were injured in Kyiv, and authorities are investigating a midday strike that hit a military exhibition. Ukrainian forces also struck deep inside Russia, including a deadly attack near Kirov, and repeated drone strikes have hit Wildberries warehouses, causing large fires and heavy economic losses. Romania reported shooting down a Russian drone after an airspace breach.
Missile Strike Near Kyiv Kills 10; Ukraine Strikes Deep Into Russia, Wildberries Warehouses Burn

At least 16 people were killed overnight in a series of strikes across Ukraine and parts of Russia, officials say. Ten people died after ballistic missiles struck a training area just outside Kyiv, while separate attacks killed five people in Sloviansk and a Ukrainian strike inside Russia near Kirov reportedly killed six and wounded 26.
Strike Near Kyiv
President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media that roughly 100 people were injured in Kyiv and emergency services remain on site. The strike near Kyiv hit a training ground around midday where a military exhibition was taking place and representatives of Ukraine's defence industry were present. Ukrainian air force spokesman Yuri Ihnat said three ballistic missiles were used in the attack and that only one was intercepted.
Officials say the strike appeared to target Defence Ministry adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov (known as "Flash") and Lyuba Shypovych, an engineer involved in developing technology for the Ukrainian military; both later posted on social media to confirm they were unharmed. Authorities described this as at least the third time since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022 that an exhibition of this kind has been hit. Ukraine's prosecutor general and President Zelensky said the incident is being investigated, including who authorised the event and what safety measures were in place.
Ukrainian Strikes Inside Russia
Separately, Kyiv reported a strike near the Russian city of Kirov—more than 1,000 km (600 miles) behind the front line—that killed six people and wounded 26. President Zelensky said the attack targeted "one of the most important military facilities" in Kirov that supplies components for aircraft and missile systems used in strikes against Ukraine. Kyiv has said it is shifting focus toward logistics hubs and suppliers used by Russia to procure military equipment, aiming to disrupt the Russian armed forces' supply chains.
Wildberries Warehouses Attacked
Over the past six days, Ukrainian drones have struck warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, on multiple occasions. Facilities in and around Saint Petersburg were reportedly set alight, and earlier strikes hit warehouses in Elektrostal (east of Moscow) and Kotovsk (Tambov region). Seven night-shift workers were killed in Kotovsk and one worker fatally wounded in Elektrostal; dozens more were injured. Ukrainian strikes also destroyed goods with an estimated value of about £750m ($1bn), and have disrupted many small and medium-sized Russian businesses that relied on Wildberries' logistics network.
International Reaction
Romanian President Nicușor Dan reported that a Romanian F-16 shot down a Russian drone after it breached Romanian airspace, and Romanian authorities issued alerts across several eastern and south-eastern counties. Analysts say the campaign of strikes on logistics and retail infrastructure is putting growing pressure on Russian supply chains and businesses.
