The Metro Nashville Police Department opened an internal probe after an officer’s husband turned over explicit videos showing sexual encounters inside Madison Middle School, where she served as a school resource officer. Officer Lisa Vidrios admitted to multiple encounters with Sgt. Stephen Holland inside the school and twice in a police cruiser while on duty. Vidrios accepted a pre-investigative settlement, received a 30-day suspension and later resigned; Holland was not interviewed after receiving an injured-on-duty pension. The department has said the conduct fell short of expected standards for first responders.
Nashville School Resource Officer Resigns After Husband Turns Over Explicit Videos Showing Sex Inside Middle School

A Metro Nashville school resource officer resigned after an internal probe found she had multiple sexual encounters inside Madison Middle School and in a police vehicle while on duty. The investigation was launched after the officer’s husband, also a Metro Nashville police officer, discovered explicit videos and other evidence on her phone and reported it to the department’s Office of Professional Accountability (OPA).
Investigation And Evidence
According to the OPA investigative summary reported by WKRN and disciplinary records reviewed by FOX 17, 37-year-old Officer Lisa Vidrios admitted to having sex with Sgt. Stephen Holland on several occasions inside the school while children were in the building and twice in a police cruiser while on duty. The complaint that prompted the probe was filed on May 26, 2025.
Investigators obtained videos and photographs that reportedly show encounters in Vidrios’ school resource office and in Holland’s police vehicle. One video described in the OPA summary allegedly captures the pair on a couch inside the resource office while staff members are heard outside the door. Vidrios acknowledged in a written statement that children were present in the building during at least some of the encounters.
Department Action And Outcomes
The department decommissioned both officers and removed their police access the same day it learned of the allegations. Vidrios agreed to a pre-investigative settlement approved in September 2025 that included a 30-day suspension for violations of department policies related to conduct unbecoming an employee and failing to devote full time to duty; she subsequently resigned from the department.
Internal investigators did not interview Sgt. Holland during the OPA probe. While the investigation was pending, Holland applied for and was granted an injured-on-duty pension on Feb. 26, 2026, which the OPA said precluded interviewing him. The OPA determined Holland violated the same conduct policies and stated he would be questioned if he returns to active duty.
Context And Background
Vidrios and her husband, Angel, moved to Nashville from San Diego and both graduated from the Metro Nashville Police Training Academy in 2022, the first married couple to do so. Vidrios previously served nine years in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for the San Diego Police Department. The department had selected her to represent her graduating class in a 2022 promotional video.
A department spokesperson cited expectations that first responders maintain high standards of conduct; Metro Nashville Public Schools referred questions to the police department. Neither Vidrios nor Holland have issued public statements about the investigation.
