Zaporizhzhya governor Ivan Fedorov urged civilians in Russian-occupied areas to evacuate as Kyiv increases strikes on military infrastructure and supply routes in Zaporizhzhya and Kherson. He warned that Russian troop reinforcements raise risks for residents and published contact details for aid and state assistance. Recent attacks have reportedly hit bridges to Crimea and contributed to fuel shortages at petrol stations.

The military governor of Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhya region on Thursday urged civilians living under Russian occupation to leave occupied areas as Kyiv steps up airstrikes targeting military infrastructure and supply routes.

Ivan Fedorov wrote on Telegram that Ukrainian forces have been striking Russian military sites and logistics lines in the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. He warned that Russian forces are redeploying additional troops to defend key facilities, which raises the risk to civilians remaining in occupied territory.

"That is why I urge everyone not to delay the decision to leave," Fedorov said, while publishing contact details for humanitarian organizations and state agencies that can assist with evacuation and safe passage out of occupied areas.

Recent Ukrainian operations have reportedly struck key bridges leading to Crimea, a development acknowledged by Russian-installed local authorities, and some petrol stations in the region have reported fuel shortages — further complicating movement and civilian life under occupation.

Practical advice: Residents in occupied zones should follow official evacuation guidance, use the contact channels Fedorov shared, and seek help from recognized humanitarian organizations. Evacuation routes and safety conditions can change rapidly.

Authorities and aid groups are urging civilians to prioritize safety and to register with available assistance channels where possible. The humanitarian impact of intensified strikes remains a major concern as military operations continue in the south.
