UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in London on Sunday to coordinate continued support for Ukraine. The visit follows a large Ukrainian drone strike on St Petersburg that demonstrated Kyiv’s ability to reach deep into Russian territory; no casualties were immediately reported. In Ukraine, one person died and three were wounded in the Dnipropetrovsk region amid nearly 30 strikes on three districts, and Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected Zelensky’s proposal for direct talks.
Starmer to Host Zelensky, Macron and Merz in London to Coordinate Support for Ukraine

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in London to discuss continued political, military and diplomatic support for Ukraine, Downing Street said.
The three leaders are due to meet on Sunday. The visit follows a large-scale Ukrainian drone strike on Saturday that targeted St Petersburg, Russia’s second-largest city, highlighting Kyiv’s growing ability to strike deeper into Russian territory. No casualties from the St Petersburg attack were immediately reported.
Inside Ukraine, regional head Oleksandr Hanzha reported that one person was killed and three were wounded overnight into Saturday in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He said Russian forces struck three districts in the region nearly 30 times with drones and artillery.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday rejected a proposal from Zelensky for face-to-face talks about the four-year war, saying he saw “no point” in meeting. The planned London meeting brings together leaders from the informal E3 grouping — some of Kyiv’s staunchest allies — as they coordinate on security guarantees and the broader path toward a negotiated peace.
What To Watch
Key issues expected at the talks include continued military aid, strengthened security guarantees for Ukraine, diplomatic steps to sustain international support, and the coordination of responses to cross-border strikes.
“The meeting will focus on how best to sustain and coordinate support for Ukraine,” Downing Street said.
The talks underscore the continuing international effort to balance immediate battlefield assistance with long-term political strategies aimed at ending the conflict.
