A secular man passing a demonstration outside the Lev HaBira Police Station in Jerusalem was pushed to the ground and suffered a head wound, according to Ynet. The protests followed arrests tied to violent rioting at the home of Supreme Court Deputy President Justice Noam Sohlberg, where police say more than 60 suspects were detained after property damage. Separate clashes in Beit Shemesh involved stone-throwing and a break-in at a police compound, leading to additional arrests and police use of batons and stun grenades.
Secular Bystander Injured as Haredi Protests Erupt Outside Jerusalem Police Station

A secular man who was not part of a demonstration was pushed to the ground outside the Lev HaBira Police Station in Jerusalem on Friday and sustained a head wound, Ynet reported.
What Happened
The man was passing a group of Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) protesters gathered in front of the police station when he was shoved to the ground and injured. According to Ynet, the attack occurred amid heightened tensions related to recent arrests connected to earlier riots.
Background: Riots and Arrests
Dozens of protesters had gathered to demonstrate against the arrest of suspects accused of rioting at the home of Supreme Court Deputy President Justice Noam Sohlberg earlier in the week. During those earlier clashes, participants reportedly tried to force open the main entrance doors to Sohlberg's property and caused significant damage, including smashed windows and damage to a vehicle.
Authorities said more than 60 people were arrested in connection with the incidents at the justice’s home. Several of the suspects reportedly attempted to enter the residence before fleeing the scene.
Related Clashes in Beit Shemesh
Walla reported a separate disturbance in Beit Shemesh in which protesters threw stones and other objects at police officers. Israel Police said eight people were arrested after some rioters entered a Beit Shemesh police compound following the detention of an alleged draft dodger. Other participants allegedly tried to obstruct traffic on Route 38 by throwing stones.
Police later said they dispersed parts of the unrest using batons and stun grenades.
