KFAR SIR, Lebanon — Funeral processions across southern Lebanon have been burying Hezbollah fighters, Lebanese civilians and paramedics killed in Israeli strikes in the days immediately before the Israel–Hezbollah ceasefire took effect.

In villages such as Kfar Sir, mourners gathered in large processions carrying coffins draped with flags and holding portraits of the dead. The funerals combined private grief with public displays of mourning, as families and neighbours escorted the deceased through streets lined with onlookers.
Human Cost of the Last Days of Fighting
These ceremonies underscore the human toll of the recent clashes: combatants and noncombatants alike were among those killed in the final days before the truce. Paramedics and other civilians were reported among the casualties, and communities continue to cope with loss and uncertainty as the ceasefire takes hold.
