Rep. Max Miller said Tucker Carlson should be prosecuted if investigators find he secretly collaborated with Iran, calling such conduct "treason." Carlson denies wrongdoing and says the CIA read his texts and recommended a possible DOJ referral. The New York Times reported Carlson met with Donald Trump three times before strikes on Iranian-linked targets; Carlson criticized those strikes and was removed from Trump’s MAGA movement. No charges have been filed, and any prosecution would depend on evidence and formal DOJ action.
GOP Rep. Miller Says Tucker Carlson Should Face Prosecution If Found To Have Collaborated With Iran

Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) said on Sunday that Tucker Carlson should face prosecution if federal investigators find evidence that the commentator secretly collaborated with Iran's theocratic regime. Miller's comments came a day after Carlson asserted that the CIA had read his text messages and recommended a possible criminal referral to the Department of Justice.
Miller posted on X:
"Everyone has always known Tucker is in love with himself and happy to sell falsehoods for attention. The Left excels at this, when Tucker fully joined them it was just sad."
He added:
"Now? Treason. If Tucker really worked with Iran against America's interests, he is a traitor and should be prosecuted."
No charges have been filed. Carlson has denied any criminal wrongdoing and says intelligence agencies read his texts. In a video, he said:
"The CIA is preparing some kind of criminal referral against me... What's that crime? Well, talking to people in Iran before the war. They read my texts."
The New York Times reported that Carlson met with former President Donald Trump three times in the month before strikes on Iranian-linked targets. According to those reports, Carlson lobbied against attacking Iran, though Trump did not follow that advice.
Carlson has criticized the subsequent U.S. and Israeli strikes, calling them "absolutely disgusting and evil" and accusing the operation—referred to by some outlets as Operation Epic Fury—of serving Israeli interests. In response, Trump removed Carlson from his Make America Great Again movement.
Allegations of secret collaboration with a foreign government are legally serious and would require clear evidence and formal charges before prosecution. Miller's remarks reflect political outrage, but any legal action would depend on the findings of federal investigators and prosecutors.
