Adam Henry, 15, was fatally stabbed in Islington, London, on Dec. 9. Two men — Tsidi Winion (charged Dec. 15) and Abdel Derdour (arrested Dec. 26 after a two‑week manhunt and charged Dec. 28) — now face murder charges. A man arrested with Derdour faces unrelated charges; three other suspects have been bailed. Police say the investigation is ongoing and have urged anyone with information to come forward; the family have asked for privacy.

A 15-year-old boy, Adam Henry, died after being stabbed in the Islington area of London on Dec. 9 at about 1:00 p.m., the Metropolitan Police said. Authorities have described the killing as a senseless act of violence.

Arrests and Charges

On Dec. 15, 20-year-old Tsidi Winion was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon; he remains in custody pending trial. After a two-week manhunt, 22-year-old Abdel Derdour was located and arrested on Dec. 26. Derdour was charged with murder on Dec. 28 and is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Dec. 29.

Officers also arrested Daniel Williams, 39, at the same property where Derdour was detained. Williams has been charged with fraud, theft, dangerous driving and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent. Three other people — described by police as two men and a woman — have been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Victim And Family

Henry was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service but later died. Specialist officers are providing support to his family. In a statement shared on Dec. 11, his relatives remembered him as "a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend" and asked for privacy as they grieve.

“He had many interests and was always there with a smile and cheeky sense of humor. He was good natured and loyal. While only 15 years old, the beautiful memories we have of him can never be forgotten.”

Police Response

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, condemned street violence and thanked investigators for their work. "Our thoughts remain with Adam’s loved ones throughout this unimaginably difficult time," he said. "There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets — and those responsible for such crimes should be brought to justice." Bhangoo added that Derdour "tried many ways to evade capture," but that police efforts have moved the inquiry closer to securing justice.

The Metropolitan Police said the investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information to contact officers.
