Joey Kristopher Jansen has been arrested on suspicion of endangerment and criminal damage after his 13-year-old daughter allegedly drove his sedan into a law office in Mesa, Arizona, while he sat in the passenger seat, local outlets reported.

Authorities and representatives for the law firm confirmed that neither Jansen nor the girl were injured. The daughter has not been publicly identified. Fox 10 and ABC 15 first reported the collision and the subsequent arrest.

"It looked like an explosion. The car, it was a sedan, just kind of came right through and collided," said Alison Briggs, a partner at My Arizona Lawyers, whose office was struck. "You can see the tire tracks right here. The car came through and then went right through those panels, which is part of our lobby and then our main conference room."

Briggs, who handles family-law matters, said the scene left her deeply concerned for the child and critical of the decision that allowed a minor to operate the vehicle. "My first thought was: I hope Mom has a good lawyer because that parent is incredibly irresponsible, and it made me just incredibly sad for the child," she added, noting relief that staff and clients were not in the affected area.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash. PEOPLE has reached out to the Mesa Police Department and My Arizona Lawyers for comment. No additional details about potential charges beyond endangerment and criminal damage have been confirmed publicly.
