Mote SEA has opened new STEM Workforce Development Labs to prepare future marine scientists. The 146,000 sq ft facility employs 306 people, including 45 Ph.D. researchers, and runs 38 research programs. It offers three teaching labs and four workforce training labs, free hands-on learning for 70,000+ K–12 students, immersive internships with direct mentorship, and more than 1 million gallons of living exhibits supported by advanced life‑support systems.
