Shoppers in the U.S. should check their freezers: Gias Foods has recalled two lots of bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold at Walmart after routine testing detected possible listeria contamination.
Products Affected
The recall covers 22-ounce bright yellow packages with UPC 194346442706. Impacted lot numbers are L6079C and L6080C, with expiration dates of September 19, 2027 and September 20, 2027. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall on September 15 following routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

What The Company Says
Gias Foods has stopped distribution of the affected products and said no illnesses have been reported so far. Customers who purchased the recalled fettuccine are advised not to eat it and should return the product to the retailer for a full refund. The Independent has contacted Gias Foods for comment.

The recall comes shortly after a separate voluntary recall by Danone USA of So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert. That action, also announced on September 15, was prompted by the possible presence of foreign materials such as small stones in certain pints. Affected pints carry SKU 136603 and UPC 744473476138 and include all units with best-by dates on or before April 3, 2028. Danone said the recall is limited to that single flavor and code.
Both products were distributed nationwide and sold at retailers including Walmart (and, for the So Delicious recall, Target and other stores). Customers with questions should contact the retailer where they purchased the item or check FDA and company recall notices for updates.
