Video released by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office appears to show 20-year-old Timothy J. Reaggle of Wellsville slipping out of his handcuffs, striking a deputy and attempting to flee the courthouse shortly after a sentencing hearing.
The incident: According to local reports, the encounter unfolded Monday after Reaggle learned he had been sentenced in a separate case to one year in prison. Sheriff's officials say Reaggle suddenly freed himself from restraints, punched an escorting deputy and sprinted down a hallway.

Video footage: The sheriff's office footage shows Reaggle colliding with another deputy, knocking that officer to the ground, then racing toward the courthouse exit. The video captures courthouse personnel and bystanders rushing to help the injured deputies. One deputy is seen on the floor with a head wound holding a paper towel to his face.
Apprehension and injuries: Reaggle was subdued near the front doors with a Taser and taken back into custody. Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin told WFMJ that two deputies suffered broken bones; both were treated and later released from the hospital.
