Swiss authorities say a Dutch tour bus overturned in eastern Switzerland in a serious crash that left several people dead and others injured.

The vehicle went off the road between the villages of Susch and Zernez in the Alpine canton of Graubünden, and rescue teams were working at the scene, officials said. Police have not released a confirmed toll of fatalities or injuries.

Rescue Operation Underway
Swiss media reported that 48 people were on board the coach. A spokeswoman for ANVR, the Dutch travel industry association, told the Blick newspaper that the passengers were Dutch.
A police spokesman said the coach first struck a crash barrier and then overturned. Authorities said no other vehicles were believed to have been involved. Several ambulances and five helicopters were dispatched to the location to assist with rescue and medical evacuation.
