Prosecutors say a 40-year-old Austrian woman died from fatal injuries after her husband allegedly sexually assaulted her while she was "extremely intoxicated and therefore defenseless." Authorities are investigating whether other men may also have abused the woman, possibly in exchange for payment.

The woman was discovered severely injured and bleeding at her home in Marchtrenk, near Wels in Upper Austria, on June 26. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene and an autopsy was ordered, officials said.
Suspects Detained
Two 51-year-old men are currently in custody: the victim's husband and another man. Prosecutors say only the husband has been linked so far to the act that caused her death.
