"Per usual — lies, half-truths, innuendos, smears and anonymous," the senator told CNN, adding: "No matter how many smears or stories, I'm proud to continue to deliver for Pennsylvania."

The Journal highlighted a September text exchange in which Fetterman asked aides why he needed to meet with representatives from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. A staffer said they were "worried about Medicaid cuts," and the senator allegedly responded, "Well, I'm not."
