Alleged Vigilante Incident in NSW: Kylee Barbette Robinson is accused of finding a 44‑year‑old man in a shed, assaulting and chaining him, and forcing him to lead her to other stolen items. She is also alleged to have attacked two alleged accomplices and smashed a car windshield to retrieve possessions. Robinson faces multiple charges and remained in custody; her partner, Guy Joel Westgate, was charged and released on $10,000 bail. Both are due in Newcastle Local Court on Sept. 30, 2026.

A New South Wales woman, Kylee Barbette Robinson, has been arrested after police allege she confronted a man she found on her property, struck him with a baseball bat, secured him with chains and a padlock, and forced him to lead her to other items she said were stolen.

According to media reports and court documents, Robinson discovered a 44‑year‑old man inside a shed on her land. Police say she assaulted him and then compelled him to reveal the location of additional property. The man allegedly complied and led officers — and Robinson — to a nearby park, where Robinson is accused of attacking two other people believed to be the intruder’s accomplices.

Authorities say Robinson later found a vehicle containing more of her belongings and used the bat to smash the windshield to retrieve the items. Emergency services were called to Boomerang Park at about 8:30 p.m.; paramedics treated one man for facial injuries before he was taken to Maitland Hospital.

Robinson was arrested and, according to court documents cited in reporting, faces multiple charges, including being armed with intent to commit an offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and kidnapping with intent to cause actual bodily harm. At the time of the reports Robinson remained in custody.

In a follow‑up published on Aug. 10, 2026, the Daily Mail named Army veteran Guy Joel Westgate as Robinson’s partner and said he was present when the initial man was found in the shed. Westgate is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and kidnapping with intent and was released on a $10,000 bail bond. Both defendants are due to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Sept. 30, 2026.

Public Reaction

The episode has drawn intense online attention. A Facebook post sharing the coverage generated more than 11,000 comments, many expressing support for Robinson and arguing she had the right to recover her property. Sample comments published with the reporting included:

"Sounds like she saved the taxpayers' money and recovered her stuff."
and
"She has the right to defend her property. Not guilty of anything."

Legal experts note that public sympathy does not determine criminal liability; police and court authorities will handle the case as it proceeds through the judicial system.

What Happens Next

Both Robinson and Westgate must appear at Newcastle Local Court on Sept. 30, 2026. The charges against them are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
