Students streamed out of the school as the wounded were loaded into ambulances. Teachers embraced and wept amid chaotic scenes outside the campus. Photos circulated by emergency workers showed at least one person on a stretcher and medics attending to others.
"I didn't think it was a gun at first. There were many shots: bang bang bang. Then it went quiet. Then it started again,"an 18-year-old student told Reuters, describing the moment the shooting began.
Lt. Col. Trirong Phophan, a National Police spokesman, told reporters the suspected shooter was among the seven dead and that 15 people were injured. Authorities are investigating the motive and circumstances and responding to the scene.
