Fifth Teenager Charged in Luton Stabbing That Killed 17-Year-Old Bilal Nisar

Five teenagers have been charged in connection with the stabbing death of 17-year-old Bilal Nisar, who was found injured at Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton on 21 July and later died in hospital. A 17-year-old is due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates' Court; four others remain remanded. Bedfordshire Police are seeking three more suspected youths and have urged witnesses and families to come forward.

A fifth teenager has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Bilal Nisar at Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton. Bilal was found injured at about 18:30 BST on Friday 21 July and later died in hospital.

Arrests and Charges

A 17-year-old has been charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon and was due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates' Court. Earlier, four other teenagers — one aged 16 and three aged 17 — had already been charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article; they remain remanded in custody.

Ongoing Investigation

Bedfordshire Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Officers are seeking three more teenagers they suspect were involved and have asked those individuals to "hand themselves in".

Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor: "Our investigation into this horrific incident continues. While we are pleased to have made a number of significant arrests, there remain teenagers believed to be involved who have not yet spoken to our officers. A 17-year-old boy has lost his life and a family has been left devastated. We are urging anyone with information to come forward and for families to encourage their relatives to speak to us."

Family Tribute

Bilal's family paid tribute to him, describing him as "an amazing brother, son, uncle and friend to us all." They said he "had a bright future ahead of him" and added: "His kindness, sense of humour and unwavering loyalty were qualities that would light up any room he walked into."

Bedfordshire Police continue to appeal for witnesses and any information that could assist the criminal inquiries.
