Crustacean Beverly Hills has secured a short-term agreement to remain at its North Bedford Drive location through Oct. 31 after nearly being forced out following the building's sale. The restaurant will pause after service on July 29, then reopen in limited capacity on Aug. 5 with reservations available through September. In October the venue will operate for takeout and special events ahead of a permanent closure on Oct. 31, while the House Of An explores relocation and pop-ups.
Crustacean Beverly Hills Wins Last-Minute Reprieve — Will Stay Open Through Oct. 31

Crustacean Beverly Hills, the family-run Vietnamese-fusion restaurant famed for its secret garlic noodles and koi aquarium walkway, has scored an eleventh-hour extension that will keep its dining room open through Oct. 31.
The An family reached a short-term agreement with the building's landlord for their North Bedford Drive location after operators had earlier announced they were being forced to leave the nearly 30-year home. Elizabeth An, CEO of the House Of An restaurant group, told Fox 11 that the property's new owner "has other plans" that do not suit Crustacean's operation.
What’s Changing — And What Remains
After service on Wednesday, July 29, the restaurant will pause briefly and then reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 5 in a limited capacity while it prepares for a staged exit from the Bedford Drive site. Reservations will be accepted through the end of September. Throughout October, Crustacean will operate primarily for takeout and special events before permanently closing the location on Oct. 31.

The An family credited devoted diners with helping secure the extension and said the extra time gives them a chance to properly say farewell to the staff and regulars who helped make Crustacean a Beverly Hills institution. "The weight of not being able to do so was extremely painful for my mother and I," they wrote in their Instagram message.
Looking Ahead
While the North Bedford Drive restaurant will close Oct. 31, the House Of An group is exploring future locations — including Calabasas and Pasadena — and plans a series of pop-ups during the transition. The team hopes the extension will allow for thoughtful goodbyes and a smoother move to whatever comes next.
Fans can still book dinners through September, visit during the limited reopening in August, or plan for October carryout and special events before the property shuts permanently at the end of the month.
