Lebanese officials say Israel has carried out nearly 3,500 attacks since a ceasefire on April 17, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam reported after a Cabinet meeting. Lebanon’s government reports more than 3,500 dead and over 10,000 injured since fighting intensified in late February, with about 30 soldiers and nearly 20 other security personnel among the fatalities. The Israeli research centre Alma says Hezbollah has launched almost 1,000 strikes since the ceasefire, most against Israeli forces in Lebanon and about a quarter hitting Israeli territory.

Lebanese officials say Israel has carried out almost 3,500 attacks against Lebanon since a ceasefire was announced on April 17, the government reported following a Cabinet meeting in Beirut.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam disclosed the figure, which covers alleged violations of the ceasefire through last Sunday. His office said the toll of violence has contributed to a sharp rise in casualties and renewed escalation along the Lebanon–Israel border.

Casualties and Wider Toll

Salam’s office reported that around 30 soldiers from Lebanon’s national army and nearly 20 other security personnel have been killed since the Iran-related conflict began at the end of February. Official Lebanese tallies put the broader death toll in the country at more than 3,500, with over 10,000 people injured since the fighting started.

Hezbollah Activity

The Israeli research centre Alma says the Lebanese militia Hezbollah has, for its part, launched nearly 1,000 attacks since the ceasefire took effect. Alma reported that most of those strikes targeted Israeli forces operating in Lebanon, while roughly a quarter struck territory inside Israel.

Hezbollah was not part of the ceasefire negotiations conducted between Israeli and Lebanese government representatives, the reports noted.

All figures were provided by Lebanese authorities and the Alma research centre. Independent verification of some claims is limited amid ongoing hostilities.
