The Kremlin accused British specialists of being involved in a Ukrainian strike on Bryansk that Moscow says used Storm Shadow missiles and vowed to "take into account" Britain's role. The Bryansk governor reported at least six civilians killed and 37 wounded, while Ukraine said it struck a plant producing missile components. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov framed the episode as justification for the ongoing special military operation; there was no immediate comment from London. Russian officials have asked the U.N. to examine the incident.
Kremlin Alleges British Role in Ukraine Strike on Bryansk Using Storm Shadow Missiles

The Kremlin on Wednesday accused British specialists of involvement in a deadly Ukrainian strike on the Russian city of Bryansk, saying the attack used British-made Storm Shadow missiles and that Moscow would "take into account" Britain's role in any response.
The Bryansk regional governor said Tuesday's strike killed at least six civilians and wounded 37, describing the incident as a "terrorist missile attack" though he did not specify the exact target.
Ukraine said it had hit a plant that produced components for missiles. Kyiv and its supporters maintain such strikes target military facilities, while Moscow has accused Ukrainian forces of deliberately striking civilian areas.
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin Spokesman: "It is obvious that the launch of these missiles was impossible without British specialists. We are aware of this, we know it well, and we naturally take it into account."
Peskov added that the Kremlin views the incident as further justification for the ongoing "special military operation," saying one of its goals is to demilitarise Ukraine. He did not spell out specific retaliatory steps tied to the alleged British involvement.
There was no immediate response from London. Russia has frequently asserted that Ukraine relies on Western expertise, targeting data and satellite imagery to strike deep into Russian territory.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Kyiv had targeted "one of the most important military factories in Bryansk" that produced electronics for Russian missiles. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the strike premeditated and aimed at civilians, and urged the United Nations to investigate the incident.
