Iran’s IRGC has warned it may strike economic centres and banks linked to the US and Israel after what Tehran said was an attack on a bank branch in Tehran, urging civilians to stay at least one kilometre away from banks. The IRGC‑affiliated Tasnim agency released a list of US tech companies — including Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Palantir, IBM and Oracle — whose regional offices and cloud infrastructure it labelled as new targets. Iranian officials also reiterated claims that nearly 10,000 civilian sites have been hit and more than 1,300 civilians killed since February 28; separate reporting says Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed at least 570 and displaced roughly 780,000.
IRGC Warns It May Strike US‑ and Israeli‑Linked Banks and Economic Centres After Tehran Bank Attack

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has publicly warned it may target “economic centres and banks” linked to United States and Israeli interests across the region, following what Tehran described as an overnight attack on a bank branch in Tehran as the conflict entered its 12th day.
Official Warning
A spokesperson for the Khatam al‑Anbiya Headquarters — an entity the United Nations characterises as IRGC‑owned — told reporters the incident had left “our hands open to targeting economic centres and banks belonging to the United States and the Zionist regime in the region.” The statement also instructed civilians to avoid areas near banks: “People of the region should not be within a one‑kilometre radius of banks.”
“The Americans should await our countermeasure and our painful response,” the spokesperson said.
Claims, Casualties and Context
Iranian officials say explosions have continued to rock Tehran. Iran has accused US and Israeli forces of bombing nearly 10,000 civilian sites and of killing more than 1,300 civilians since the conflict began on February 28; these figures are reported as government claims and have not been independently verified in this piece.
State television reported that several bank employees were killed in the Tehran incident, describing the Israeli strike on the branch as an “illegitimate and unusual act in war.”
Tasnim Releases List Of Corporate Targets
The IRGC‑affiliated Tasnim news agency published a list of offices and cloud infrastructure operated by major US technology companies that it said have ties to Israel or whose technologies have been used for military applications. Tasnim described those facilities as “Iran’s new targets.”
- Companies named include Google, Microsoft, Palantir, IBM, Nvidia and Oracle.
- Tasnim said the facilities and cloud service infrastructure are located in multiple Israeli cities and in some Gulf countries.
Regional Spillover
The warnings by Khatam al‑Anbiya followed an Israeli bombing in Beirut’s southern suburbs of a building that regional media reported was a branch of the Hezbollah‑affiliated financial institution Al‑Qard Al‑Hassan. That organisation provides interest‑free loans and is part of Hezbollah’s broader network of social services, which also includes schools, hospitals and subsidised shops.
Israeli operations in Lebanon have, according to reported tallies, killed at least 570 people and displaced roughly 780,000 residents.
What This Means
The statements and lists issued by Iranian authorities mark an escalation in rhetoric and the targeting criteria — from strictly military targets to economic and infrastructure sites linked to foreign governments and companies. Such shifts raise concerns about an expansion of the conflict into cyber and economic infrastructure and heighten risks to civilians and regional stability.
