White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles Announces She Is Cancer-Free After Mayo Clinic Tests

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles announced on social media Wednesday that recent pathology results from the Mayo Clinic show she is now cancer-free following an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis in March.

"After a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic this week, my pathology results came back clear. I am cancer free." — Susie Wiles

Wiles expressed gratitude to her family, friends, medical team and everyone who prayed for her during treatment. She also publicly thanked President Donald Trump for his "unwavering support," saying she is "deeply grateful" and will continue to work to advance his "America First" agenda.

Wiles maintained her responsibilities as chief of staff throughout her treatment, continuing to oversee policy and staff operations at the White House. At the time of her diagnosis in March, President Trump described her as a "fighter" and an "amazing person." Wiles has held the chief of staff role since the start of Trump’s second term.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States excluding skin cancers. The American Cancer Society estimates about 321,910 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year and roughly 42,140 will die from the disease. Early detection and treatment improve outcomes; Wiles' clear pathology results at the Mayo Clinic indicate a positive response to care.
