Daytona Beach, Fla. — Surveillance and police body-worn camera footage released by Daytona Beach authorities show 24-year-old Elizabeth Boucher crashing an SUV into a parked Honda on Aug. 30, pushing the vehicle across a front lawn before officers arrived.
The surveillance clip captures the impact and the Honda being shoved out of frame. When officers approached, Boucher initially downplayed the collision and told police,
"I thought we were all friends."

Bodycam audio shows a more detailed roadside exchange. Boucher told an officer, "I guess I hit the front light of those cars, but I don't know what really happened." The officer pushed back: "You didn't just hit the front of the car. You just took the car completely off."
During the stop Boucher handed officers a passport when asked for her driver's license. As the investigation progressed, officers informed her the matter had been upgraded from a civil crash to a criminal DUI investigation and read her Miranda rights.

Boucher declined to perform field sobriety exercises and refused a requested breath test, according to police video. At one point she pleaded, "It's just a vape. I know. It didn't even work. Please don't take me to jail." She also referenced a personal familiarity with officers: "I thought we were all friends," to which an officer replied, "But we still have a job to do."
The driver of the struck vehicle told officers Boucher had confronted and slapped her after the collision and said she wanted to press charges. The victim pointed to where she said she was struck and asked authorities to take action.

Charges and Case Status
Police arrested Boucher and charged her with multiple offenses, including:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- DUI Involving Damage To Property Or Another Person
- Refusing To Submit To DUI Testing
- Battery By Touching Or Striking
- Resisting An Officer Without Violence
- Possessing A Controlled Substance Without A Prescription
She was booked, released from jail on Aug. 31 and has pleaded not guilty, according to court records. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October. An attorney for Boucher could not immediately be identified.
