Gulf defence ministries have published tallies of Iranian missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft and drones fired into their territories since the start of the U.S.-Israeli air campaign against Iran. The UAE reported the largest numbers — 196 ballistic missiles and 1,072 drones detected, with most intercepted. Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait also reported multiple strikes and high interception rates. Saudi Arabia and Oman did not publish figures.

March 5 (Reuters) — Gulf defence ministries have released counts of missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft and uncrewed aerial vehicles (drones) that Iran has fired into their territories since the start of the U.S.-Israeli air campaign against Iran. The ministries provided the following tallies by country.

United Arab Emirates

Ballistic missiles: 196 detected; 181 intercepted; 13 fell into the sea; 2 landed on UAE territory.

Drones: 1,072 detected; 1,001 intercepted; 71 fell within UAE territory.

Cruise missiles: 8 detected and destroyed.

Qatar

Ballistic missiles: 101 detected; 98 intercepted.

Drones: 39 detected; 24 intercepted.

Cruise missiles: 3 detected and intercepted.

Aircraft: 2 Sukhoi SU-24 aircraft detected and intercepted.

Bahrain

Missiles: 74 destroyed.

Drones: 123 destroyed.

Kuwait

Ballistic missiles: 178 monitored and intercepted.

Drones: 384 monitored and intercepted.

Note: No data was available from Saudi Arabia or Oman.
