In January, Patrick Clancy filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the estates of his three children — Cora (5), Dawson (3) and Callan (8 months) — accusing some of his wife’s medical providers of negligence. The complaint alleges Lindsay Clancy was prescribed more than a dozen medications in the months before the deaths, including eight prescriptions between Nov. 16 and Dec. 5, 2022. Medical records cited in the suit reportedly show Lindsay told clinicians she heard a male voice urging her to die and to take the children with her. Lindsay is currently on trial on criminal charges alleging she killed the children.
Husband Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit, Accuses Medical Providers After Deaths Of His Three Children

In January, Patrick Clancy filed a wrongful death lawsuit accusing several of his wife Lindsay Clancy’s medical providers of negligence in the months leading up to the deaths of the couple’s three children: Cora (5), Dawson (3) and Callan (8 months).
Allegations in the Complaint
The complaint says Lindsay was prescribed more than a dozen different medications in the months before the children’s deaths, and that eight prescriptions were issued within a three-week span between Nov. 16, 2022 and Dec. 5, 2022. The filing argues that her condition deteriorated over time and points to medical records documenting troubling symptoms.
According to the records cited in the complaint, Lindsay "started hearing a compelling and unrecognizable singular male voice that told her 'this is your last chance' and that she had to 'take them with [her].'" The same records reportedly state the voice "indicated to [Lindsay] that she should die... and that her children would suffer if she was gone."
Legal Action And Current Status
Patrick brought the lawsuit on behalf of the estates of the three children, seeking to hold certain health-care providers accountable for the prescriptions and care Lindsay received in the period before the deaths. Lindsay Clancy is currently on trial, facing criminal charges that she murdered the children; the lawsuit represents a separate civil claim alleging negligent medical care.
What the Lawsuit Alleges It Seeks
The civil filing seeks damages and accountability from the named medical providers for their role in diagnosing, treating and prescribing medications during a period when Lindsay’s mental health reportedly declined. The complaint relies on medical records and prescription histories to support its claims.
Note: These are allegations contained in a civil complaint. Lindsay Clancy is entitled to the presumption of innocence in the criminal proceedings, and the outcome of the civil case will depend on the evidence presented in court.
