Laura Loomer has publicly urged Senator JD Vance to sever his ties with Tucker Carlson, arguing that the relationship could jeopardize Vance’s prospects for a future presidential bid.
Speaking on NewsNation’s Batya on Saturday, Loomer — who described herself as close to the vice president — said Vance’s association with Carlson is “his biggest political liability” and risks harming cohesion within the MAGA movement and the GOP ahead of the midterms.

What Loomer Said
“I think that JD Vance has a bright political future but he is allowing his friendship with Tucker ‘Qatarlson’ to drag him down,” Loomer said, calling for what she termed “moral clarity” within the movement.
On Sunday, Loomer shared the interview clip on X and warned bluntly that “Tucker Qatarlson is going to destroy @JDVance’s political career if the people around the Vice President don't take steps to destroy Tucker first.”
Context And Fallout
Loomer, 33, appears to have regained influence in Donald Trump’s circle after previously clashing with some allies over U.S. policy on Ukraine and Iran. Now aligned again with parts of the movement, she has singled out Carlson as a threat to what she describes as the true MAGA agenda.
