MS NOW Denies Blacklisting Claim After Fetterman Says Network 'Won't Invite Me On'
John Fetterman

MS NOW rejected Senator John Fetterman's claim that the network is refusing to book him, calling the allegation "inaccurate." Fetterman told the Washington Examiner, "MSNBC won't invite me on," and said the alleged snubbing felt "really strange" given his Democratic loyalty and voting record. The comments come amid his recent warnings that he could leave the Democratic Party if it formally adopted an anti-Israel platform; the Examiner also noted his frequent TV appearances, including 56 on Fox and 13 on CNN so far in 2026.

MS NOW has pushed back on Senator John Fetterman’s assertion that the network is refusing to book him as a guest. In a statement to Mediaite on Wednesday, an MS NOW spokesperson called the senator’s claim "inaccurate."

Fetterman made the remark to the Washington Examiner in an interview published Wednesday, saying, "I hope you can print: 'MSNBC won't invite me on.'" The senator used the network's previous name when making the comment.

Speaking to the Examiner, Fetterman said he did not understand the alleged snubbing. "I don't know why," he said, adding that he is a committed Democrat and pointing to his Senate voting record as a reason the treatment felt "really strange."

"This claim is inaccurate," said an MS NOW spokesperson to Mediaite on Wednesday.

The dispute follows a week in which Fetterman signaled frustration with his party's stance on Israel. On Fox News last week he warned that diminished support for Israel could be a dealbreaker, calling it "my red line." At a Hill summit, he reiterated that he has "no plans" to leave the Democratic Party but said he would depart if the party officially adopted an anti-Israel platform, calling support for Israel a matter of "moral clarity."

Fetterman also criticized Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed for his pro-Palestinian positions and for campaigning with streamer Hasan Piker during an interview with CNN's Manu Raju. "Look at the kinds of people that we've elected in the primaries, not just pro-Palestinian, just intensely, intensely anti-Israel," he told Raju.

In the Washington Examiner piece, Fetterman noted his frequent television appearances, saying he appears often on Fox and CNN and "occasionally" on CBS and ABC. The Examiner reported in a separate analysis that Fetterman had made 56 appearances on Fox News and 13 on CNN so far in 2026.

Context: The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between Fetterman and parts of the media as he weighs public criticism of his party’s direction on foreign policy and maintains a high profile across cable networks.
