Kindergartner and Two Adults Killed After Shooting in Texas High School Stadium Parking Lot

Three people — an adult man, an adult woman and a young girl — were found dead following a shooting in the parking lot of the Birdville ISD football stadium in Haltom City, Texas, on Friday, March 27.
What Happened
Haltom City police responded to reports of gunfire at the stadium parking area at about 4:30 p.m. Local reports indicate officers discovered three deceased people at the scene: an adult male, an adult female and a young female child. Authorities say one of the deceased is believed to be the shooter, who later died from a self-inflicted gunshot after receiving medical treatment.
Officials' Account
Police say the violence followed a domestic dispute in the parking lot. Investigators believe the man and woman arrived in separate vehicles before the male opened fire, killing the woman and the child while they were inside a vehicle.
"They definitely know each other, and we believe they have some kind of family relationship," Sgt. Rick Alexander of the Haltom City Police Department told local media.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a hospital where they later died, according to reporting from local outlets. The shooter received medical attention before dying a short time later.
Victim Information and Community Response
Birdville Independent School District confirmed the child was a kindergartner enrolled at Cheney Hills Elementary. The district said it is "heartbroken" by the tragedy and is cooperating with the Haltom City Police Department as investigators continue their work. Authorities have not released the victims' names.
