Nashville Judges Order Heightened Security After Rep. Andy Ogles Publishes Their Photos, Accuses Courts Of Releasing Alleged Rapist

The Davidson County General Sessions Court in Nashville ordered heightened security at the Justice A.A. Birch Courthouse after Rep. Andy Ogles posted the names and photos of six judges and accused them of repeatedly releasing an alleged attacker. The judges said Ogles’s remarks appeared intended to incite violence and warned that such rhetoric can have real, dangerous consequences. Ogles identified the suspect as Muhammad A. Muhammad and called for impeachment of the judges and to “send the guard to Nashville.”

Judges at the Davidson County General Sessions Court in Nashville, Tennessee, announced on Tuesday that they have directed increased security at the Justice A.A. Birch Courthouse after U.S. Rep. Andy Ogles (R‑TN) published their names and photos and accused local judges of repeatedly letting an alleged attacker avoid accountability.

Official Statement:

“The Judges of the Davidson County General Sessions Court today announced that they have directed Justice A.A. Birch Courthouse Security to heighten security measures following remarks by Congressman Andy Ogles that appeared intended to incite violence against elected officials in Davidson County.”

In their statement, the judges condemned any language that targets judges or other elected officials with threats or rhetoric that could lead to violence. They noted recent incidents of political violence and warned that invoking violent imagery for political purposes carries “real and dangerous consequences.” The judges said their primary responsibility is to ensure courthouse employees and members of the public can access the Birch Building safely and without fear.

The judges issued the statement after Rep. Ogles posted on social media identifying a man named in local reporting as Muhammad A. Muhammad and accusing the courts of repeatedly dismissing prior charges against him. Ogles wrote that the man had been arrested “over a dozen times” and alleged that previous cases—ranging from drug offenses to indecent exposure and trespass—had been dismissed.

Ogles’s post also referenced a recent arrest in which a woman was allegedly raped while unconscious outside a church on Nolensville Road and later died. In the post he blamed local judges and prosecutors as Democrats, called for impeachment of the judges, declared “we are at war,” and urged authorities to “send the guard to Nashville.”

In the social post Rep. Ogles included names and photos of six judges: Judge Lynda Jones, Judge Robin Kimbrough‑Hayes, Judge Arron Holt, Judge Jim Todd, Judge Rachel Bell, and Judge Melissa Blackburn. The Davidson County bench characterized Ogles’s rhetoric as inflammatory and potentially dangerous if interpreted as a call to action.

This reporting is based on the judges’ public statement and Rep. Ogles’s social media post, as first covered by Mediaite. Allegations described in the post and in local reporting remain allegations; individuals named have not been convicted in relation to those claims as of the reports referenced here.
