The White House has not yet released a formal report on President Trump’s latest physical at Walter Reed, though a White House official said a readout could arrive "in the next day or so." The president posted on Truth Social that "Everything checked out PERFECTLY" after the six-month exam. Previous checkups occurred in April and October; White House physician Dr. Barbabella has previously described the president’s health as "excellent," noting a cardiac age about 14 years younger. Earlier findings included a December CT scan for preventive imaging and a July diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency with no evidence of deep vein thrombosis.

Washington — The White House has not yet released a formal summary of President Donald Trump’s most recent physical exam following his Tuesday visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

A White House official told reporters to expect a readout "in the next day or so," but no timeline has been confirmed. The president posted on Truth Social midday Tuesday:

"Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff!"

Mr. Trump previously had evaluations at Walter Reed in April and October of last year. The White House has not said whether the president — who turns 80 next month — will continue to receive biannual (every six months) physicals or switch to an annual schedule. Notably, the October visit occurred on a Saturday and a summary was released the following Monday.

What Is Known

The White House said this week's visit included "routine annual dental and medical assessments." The president also visited a local dentist in Florida earlier this month.

After prior exams, White House physician Dr. Barbabella described the president's overall health as "excellent." In October, the physician said Mr. Trump's cardiac age was "found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age." In December, the White House said the president underwent "advanced imaging" of his abdomen and cardiovascular system for preventive reasons; Mr. Trump later clarified to the Wall Street Journal that he had a CT scan, not an MRI as he initially stated.

Notes On Specific Findings

In July, after photos showed the president with swollen ankles, Dr. Barbabella said he was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a common and generally benign condition in which leg veins struggle to return blood to the heart. The White House medical unit reported no evidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

Dr. Barbabella also wrote in a July memo that discoloration visible on Mr. Trump's hand in many photos was likely bruising related to aspirin use and frequent handshaking.

Until an official summary is released, details beyond these prior statements remain limited. The White House has not provided additional information about any new tests or findings from the most recent visit.
