Three family members—a 46-year-old mother, her 17-year-old pregnant daughter and a 12-year-old boy—were found bound and murdered inside their Wilmer, Alabama home after deputies responded just after 2:30 a.m. Causes of death included stabbing, a gunshot and a fatal throat wound; an 18-month-old in the house was unharmed. Investigators say the scene suggested a planned attack, believe multiple suspects were involved, and report they have positive leads. The Mobile County DA will review whether the unborn child’s death merits an additional charge.
Triple Homicide in Wilmer: Mother, Pregnant Teen and 12-Year-Old Found Bound as Police Hunt Multiple Suspects

Authorities in Wilmer, Alabama, say a mother, her pregnant teenage daughter and a 12-year-old boy were found dead inside their home in the early hours of the morning. Mobile County deputies responded just after 2:30 a.m. and discovered the three victims in separate rooms, each with their hands bound behind their backs, Sheriff Paul Burch said.
Victims: 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields (stabbed); 17-year-old Keziah Arionna Luker (shot and seven to eight months pregnant); and 12-year-old Thomas Cordelle Jr. (throat cut and nearly decapitated). An 18-month-old child in the home was found unharmed.
"It was a brutal scene," Sheriff Burch said. "If you've got a beef with an adult… there's nothing worth killing over, but to murder two children brutally… I hope and feel comfortable we'll have this animal or animals off the streets soon."
Investigators said the house was left in disarray, indicating the intruders may have been searching for something. Because the victims had been subdued and bound, detectives believe more than one person was involved and that the attack was planned; items such as zip ties or flex cuffs were reportedly used to restrain the victims.
The bodies were discovered after the father-to-be—who works offshore—grew concerned when he could not reach Luker but saw her phone active on the Life360 app. A family member went to check on the residence and found the victims.
The Mobile County District Attorney's Office will determine whether the death of the unborn child warrants an additional murder charge once a suspect is arrested. Sheriff Burch said investigators currently have "positive leads" in the case and are pursuing multiple suspects.
Family Reaction: Luker's father told WALA-TV that his daughter had recently earned her GED and described her as "a bubble of sunshine" who loved her family. Local law enforcement urged anyone with information to contact the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.
