APNIC estimates show Starlink’s share of Myanmar internet users fell from a summer peak of 14% to under 7% by November 10 after an AFP probe linked the service’s receivers to scam centres. SpaceX says it deactivated more than 2,500 units near suspected sites.
The service, briefly Myanmar’s top ISP from June 26, 2025, slipped to fourth by November 9. Satellite imagery suggests around 100 buildings at the KK Park complex were damaged, though most of the site remains intact. Analysts say criminal groups and allied militias run the fraud networks amid the country’s ongoing post-coup conflict.
